Going, Going … Almost Gone

Finally, after all these days of struggling to get my laptop connected, I got a connection at the Amos’ (Jon’s parents’) house, so here I am.

In the last 10 days, I have slept 2 nights. The rest of the days and nights have been filled with times of incredibly blessed fellowship with so many new people and beautiful, lively kids. I cannot wait to move to Moscow and study all those wonderful subjects at NSA with good friends.

Miscebloggy

Intending to study, I walked into Bucer’s and there were the Bloggers. Not just any bloggers, but the old-school hardcore bloggers, Jon Amos, Emeth and Ben, Rick and Rachel, Tim … goodness, what a time! Rick just said, “Amils are communists.

We tried to keep Rijel from talking by asking her to log the conversations around the table, but that didn’t last too long.

Rick’s McCarthyism fails to amuse me. Much more interesting are the love notes he and Isaiah pass back and forth when Rachel isn’t looking. Plus: Pepsi addicts will inherit the earth and crush DouglasEStambler under their heels.

So tonight I’m sitting at my computer, just home work, and some character comes on my AIM “reason is a whore” telling me that he has a message for me. I don’t recognize him, and since his Hotmail has “jesus” in it, I assume it’s Stambler. Turns out, he’s not Stambler. But he won’t tell me his name for a while, and he keeps saying suspicious things, so my curiosity stays kindled. To make a long story longer, he’s a Marine in San Diego who Isaiah called to IM me so that I would know this big crowd was about to show up at my home. I really need to get on that cable modem deal.

I have cable and Jon doesn’t … ha ha ha.

It wasn’t really Isaiah who called. I told Isaiah’s roommate Ian to call his buddy to IM Jon. It ticks me off that he thought I was Stambler. And now Tim took Ben back to his pad and he took my gal and Emeth. That’s okay cuz I guzzled his Pepsi is for fascist pig kissers. Sorry for barging into your place, Hollie.

Yeah, it’s been an interesting night, from piling into Tim’s car to invading Jon and Hollie’s house and kidnapping Jon to Jon having to answer printing questions because he didn’t change out of his Kinko’s shirt. Now Ben is gone and everyone is talking around me. All but one person here are bloggers.

OK, so now we have a laptop and digital camera … getting into full blog mode. Not sleeping for three days, not eating, and being with long-lost friends makes for very high adrenaline levels. Lots of giggling and laughing while looking at pictures from the history conference, February, 2003.

Blogging is really cool … at least that is the impression I get. Maybe I will have to try it in the near future. It has been interesting talking about it with the “veteransEhere. We are now talking about waltzes (and the modesty/immodesty of girlsEdresses worn to the ball), and it is anyone’s guess where the conversation will go next.

Felis caltus, is your taxonomic nomenclature or endothermic quadruped, carnivorous by nature? A jak isem se mil dnes o preci? Nijak, probose isem tam vibec nebzl. Redsi jeem se sel fotafit, a vrahil isem se alolo devate veces. The brain left the … never mind, people just **** interesting me. I know too many people. I suppose my … I should be a doctor, since my writing sucks right now, but that could just be the (c). A computer would be nice right now, I can type much faster. And then there’s Rijel, but there’s not enough room to tell the whole story. I wonder what Beth is doing. And then people call me by accident. Kdyr dnesha spafne je, bak freha ribra nebude, I need a new lighter. I’m really, really, really ridiculously wired right now, but not like on the internet. Preparing to evacuate soul. I mean why? What do you expect to find in there? I clearly remember last June, Mr. Lisher had a pizza, and he baked it. But then I poured curry sauce all over and he just yummed it up.p

You Decide

The longer I don’t blog, the harder it is to start again. I’m leaving for Moscow and Chicago on Monday. Convince me my blog isn’t boring, and I’ll try to post entries while I’m away.

Live Frog

One of the kids at church caught the same kind of frog that I had found butchered last year. (Dead frog … whatwhy?) Hey, don’t think I have a weird fascination with frogs or anything. The dead one last year got me to thinking about certain things that I still think about now. I thought those of you who were so disturbed and disgusted last year might be relieved to see a cute, live one.
