EB Virus
Another 2 vials of blood later, they found I had an Epstein-Barr virus infection of the liver … whatever in the world that means.

I’m Home!
Thank you all so much for your e-mails and prayers. I just caught up on all my e-mail and I am sorry I can’t answer each of you right now but it’s been a blessing and an encouragement to know you have all been praying for me. Thank you!!
It turns out I do not have hepatitis of any sort, but we’re still waiting for the results of the latest blood test … 2 more vials of blood *argh* but I didn’t cry.
The doctor just let me out of the hospital today on condition I stay in bed at home and do not move for the next week so I guess that’s what I will be doing. No more IV drips for hours and hours a day, no more blood tests. No more needles!
Meanwhile, I’ve been reading Gladwell (who wrote Blink), Rosenstock-Huessy (borrowed from Papa), Sun-Tzu, and Foucault (from Berek, of course).
- The Tipping Point
- Out of Revolution: Autobiography of Western Man
- The Art of War
- The History of Sexuality: Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3
Thank you again and may God’s blessings be on you all.

Hepatitis, Maybe?
For over 2 weeks, I’ve had a constant headache, nausea on and off, low fever on and off, and fatigue and they just wouldn’t go away. I just got back from the hospital a few minutes ago and the doctor told me I have to be hospitalized right away. Best scenario, I’ll stay for at least 2 weeks, at worst 2 months. They are suspecting acute hepatitis or something and will run a bunch more tests when I go back. Basically, there’s something wrong with my liver and I didn’t
understand the rest.
The wedding date is set for April 1, less than 3 weeks from today. Please pray I can be out of the hospital by then and that meanwhile I can have a good attitude about all this, thankful to the Lord and cheerful with my family.
I don’t know when I will be able to go online again because there’s no internet at the hospital, but I will write again when I can.
Thank you and God bless you.
P.S. Please also pray that I won’t be too scared of all those needles. I had blood taken twice today already, 3 vials of blood, and I’m just terrified.

Wedding Registries
Many, many thanks go to various people who underwent the ordeal of picking all the items with me, especially my Aunt Sally and my almost-brother-in-law Sam, both of whom were not only unbelievably patient with me teetering on the brink of insanity but generous with hours and hours of their time and expertise.
The results are below. Ta-daaa.
And I like this store, too…. :D
